The British car manufacturer Aston Martin has a long and illustrious history which started life designing and producing race cars in 1922. The Company received a new director by the name of David Brown in 1948 and Aston Martin released the DB1 of which a mere 15 were produced and sold. By 1953 the company had lunched the new DB2/4 which stayed in production until 1957 when it was replaced by the DB mark 3. The DB 3’s successors included the DB4, DB5 and DB6 which were produced throughout the 60’s and the DB5 gained even more fame through James Bond movies. By 1967 Aston Martin had released the DBS and the Vantage, after which the company changed ownership to William and Willson. The next Aston Martin model to appear in a James Bond film was the 1977 V8 Vantage which appeared in the 1987 film “The Living Daylights”.

From the year 2000 Aston Martin released a selection of cars including the DB7 Vantage, V12 Vanquish, DB9, DBS V12 and the stunning One-77. The next car that is planned for release in 2010 is the superb looking Aston Martin Rapide.
