They are based on a Swedish Air force Base in Angelholm, within one of the old Gripen fighter hangers. This provides the plant with excellent access for the workforce and visitors to the plant. It is also an ideal location for all of Koenigsegg’s manufacturing needs as the hanger has ample space for all of their production needs including office space close by. They also have access to their very own track which is used for testing and the occasional pleasure drives.
 
 Koenigsegg has produced 6 super cars since their inception in 1994 including a one off production model, the superb Koenigsegg CCGT. The Koenigsegg CCX and CCXR are the two models that are still in production and both have an Edition variety available as well. Koenigsegg are well known for their superb attention to engineering details and they use a selection of high tech materials and incorporating state of the art technologies into their vehicles.
 
 Koenigsegg employs just 45 people permanently along with a handful of temporary staff. These people have created and produced 6 different models within the company’s lifespan. The complete model list includes; the Koenigsegg CC, CC8S, CCR, CCX, CCGT and the XCCXR.
